I like your list of activities, I wouldn’t have thought of ‘Choose more positive media to expose yourself to’ as a catalyst to personal growth. We are so awash in media messages I think become numb to just what is pouring into our minds.
All throughout our daily lives we have others put us down for who we are, what we wear, or what we believe in. They are against you. You need to be for you. If you are against you, there is no hope of living an amazing life. Learn to become your own ally and not your worst enemy.

It explores identity, talents and potential, as well as dreams and aspirations. It develops you physically, mentally, spiritually and intellectually.
Setting personal development objectives shouldn’t be a once-a-year activity. Employees and their managers should set aside regular time on an ongoing basis to review objectives. These ‘check-ins’ are an opportunity to discuss progress made, give feedback, identify obstacles to success and agree new objectives when current ones have been completed. Personal development as an industry has several business relationship formats of operating. The main ways are business-to-consumer and business-to-business. However, there are two newer ways increasing in prevalence: consumer-to-business and consumer-to-consumer.

The same principles can be applied whatever goal or problem the client has. GROW can be used on technical problems, issues regarding processes, strategy questions, interpersonal issues and many more. The model can also be used by a group who are all working on the same problem or goal.

And when we compare ourselves, we have a tendency to compare the worst of ourselves to the best of everyone else. Not that you should compare in the first place; but it’s not a fair comparison. The funny thing is, people are probably comparing themselves to you. It’s not a healthy pastime. If there’s someone you find you can’t help but weigh yourself against, unsubscribe from their posts for a while. You’ll still be friends, but you’ll stop seeing updates. The ‘three good things’ exercise and knowing yourself will help in this situation.

Wait to grow naturally over time. If you do all of the previous steps, there’s a good chance that you’ve given your body the best chance to grow taller. Not everyone is going to be as tall as a basketball player or a model. Being tall isn’t everything, so learn to be comfortable with how you are.

Here’s the third part to personal development: the mind. Stretching your mind, developing good thinking habits, good study habits, pursuing ideas, and trying to find ways to apply them to human behavior and the marketplace. All of that takes mind-stretch and mind-exercise. Part of it is stretching yourself in reading habits. You can’t live on mental candy, so you’ve got to have the full range of mental food in order to grow. We call that mind-stretch.
