The compact fluorescent lights (CFL) are a fantastic way to grow in small stealth locations where heat emissions are very important to control, they are cheap to buy and run but they are generally limited on power and that means a poor yield. If you want some more power but still want to maintain a small heat signature, albeit more than CFL you might want to start looking into LEDs – especially the full spectrum LEDs. We have a good article here that outlines what you might expect from LEDs there days. More on LED grow lights.
Jonathan Passmore and Stefan Cantore have suggested that one “argument against behavioural-based approaches such as GROW is that their goal nature excludes the potential to explore philosophical aspects of life. Thus GROW may be suited to working in goal-directed areas of sports or business, but may be less well suited to careers conversations, person–role fit or life-coaching conversations where other approaches such as the transpersonal or existential approaches may be more helpful.”[5]
I got married in a week, and my wife was a random pick on a social platform.I was a Chinese navy officer at that time. When I had just graduated from military academy, the Chinese navy had many rig…(more)
If you find a bad apple, check the barrel. Research-integrity specialists say that focusing too much on individual bad actors deflects attention from the environments that promote bad behaviour. The idea applies just as much to researchers who are unproductive, frustrated or unhappy — they could be indicative of deeper problems.
12. Overcome Limiting Beliefs. Limiting beliefs keep us trapped in our comfort zone and prevent us from trying new things and taking risks for fear of getting hurt. We can have limiting beliefs about anything–money, success, relationships, and so on. You can even have limiting beliefs about yourself and what you’re capable of.

Personal development is closely linked to self-awareness. It gives you the opportunity to take an honest look at the areas of your life that need improvement. Through this process, you get to know who you really are, what your true values are, and where you would like to go in life. Once you go through this process, you will improve your self-awareness and experience fulfilment.
SelfGrowth is a fantastic vehicle for the lifting of individual and corporate visions and dreams. I was privileged to come across this platform a couple of months ago and my life has not been the same…. I enjoy your invaluable contents. please keep it up. See More
As you progress further with your personal development, you see that the real goals are the actions you need to take each day. You are confident that each action you complete will take you closer to the end goal /dream so, you don’t need to worry about that. You just focus on what you need to do next and, get that done. Then, you move to the next task. Occasionally, you check to see what progress you are making but, most of the time, you are only focused on what you need to do next.
If you are not committed to your own personal development and, you lack self-awareness; you just give out about every problem you see. But when you are aware, you use the power of contrast to determine areas for personal development which will help you improve your life.
One of the first things taught in Alcoholics Anonymous is that addicts are compulsive liars. But it’s not because they want to. It’s because they are so compulsive with their actions, that they must compulsively lie to continue to justify those actions. They lie so frequently and so easily that they believe themselves. This is probably the clearest definition of a child-like pleasure/pain value I can imagine. All that matters is the pleasurable feeling. Nothing and nobody else.↵
This kind of knowledge is learned by personal reflection, lots of time alone, and situations outside of your comfort zone. Those situations can be different for everyone – anything from enjoying a long lunch with a pen and notebook for company (no phone!), to solo travel. You learn a lot about yourself by jumping into an unfamiliar environment. And when you break through what you previously thought you were capable of, you’ll feel like you can achieve anything.
Increased personal growth and development is the goal of a wide range of men and women.  It includes those who suffer from problems in their relationship with others, or who suffer emotionally with feeling of low self-esteem, anxiety, or depression.  It also includes individuals who are marginally successful or even very successful in life, but who want to improve their efficiency, their ability to be and feel intimate  and relate to others, , and/or their general level of satisfaction with, and enjoyment of, living.
Each pathway towards personal growth and development is a personalized journey. It is up to the individual to figure out which pathway is theirs and where it leads. There is, however, as set of questions that can help guide you towards your own path…
That might not strike you as profound. But it is. That’s because it’s a value judgment. Ice cream is better than hot stoves. I prefer sugary sweetness in my mouth than a bit of fire on my hand. It’s a discovery of preference and, therefore, prioritization. It’s the knowledge that one thing in the world is preferable to the other and, therefore, all future behaviors will consider that fact.
Self-help or self-improvement is a self-guided improvement[1]—economically, intellectually, or emotionally—often with a substantial psychological basis. Many different self-help group programs exist, each with its own focus, techniques, associated beliefs, proponents and in some cases, leaders. Concepts and terms originating in self-help culture and Twelve-Step culture, such as recovery, dysfunctional families, and codependency have become firmly integrated in mainstream language.[2]
Reflect on what actions were taken by our consumerist society that led us into the life-threatening predicament we face today. Examine those unexamined assumptions and predetermined perceptions that everything is disposable. Use transformative learning techniques to debunk the irrational ideas and worldviews that we can continue on our current destructive path without consequence.
The season will vary depending on how far you are from the equator and also the elevation of your proposed marijuana garden. Generally you should be able to plant seedlings after the last frost of spring and grow right through to the first hard frost of fall / autumn, specifically the average overnight temperatures should not be below freezing 32° F or 0° C at any point because that kills marijuana plants.
Mindfulness is not enough …It’s necessary but not m sufficient especially if we wish to develop greater happiness resiliency and even wisdom. For this we require cultivation in addition to mindfulness.

Your growth is largely determined by genetic factors. If your parents are both small, there isn’t much chance of being tall (unless you have another relative who is tall). However, the advice in this article will still help you reach your full height.
If the thought of doing this is giving you heart palpitations and sweaty palms right now – great! Do it! The easiest way to do this is offer a compliment and ask an open ended question (one like ‘So, how do you know…’ is a good place to start) or just flat out say something like ‘Hi! I see you here quite a bit, so thought I’d say hello. It’s a great café/bar/gym/park isn’t it?’. If you use that intro, I would one hundred percent resist the urge to follow it up with ‘So, do you come here often?!’. Up to you though.
… According to Beirut[22], Performance is referred to as being about doing the work, as well as being about the results achieved. Jain et al.[23]defines performance is an act or process of carrying out actions and activities to accomplish an intended outcome. Performance measurement is the process of collecting, analyzing, and/or reporting information on the performance of an individual, group, organization, system, or component[24]. …
In my first post in this exploration of how we can produce meaningful and last life change, I described the four obstacles that prevent change. In my last post on this topic, I introduced you to the five building blocks of change. These steps I just described set the stage for change, but the real work lies ahead. Change can be scary, tiring, frustrating, and repetitious. And change takes time. How much?, you might ask. It depends on your ability to remove the four obstacles to change and embrace the five building blocks I discussed above. It also relies on your ability to commit to the minute-to-minute process of change. But I have found that when someone makes a deep commitment to change, they can expect to see a positive shift in 3-6 months.
The main concern surrounding PDPs is they are commonly treated as something to pay lip service to and then set aside, forgotten. This results in nothing but a significant waste of time for employees and managers alike. As such, we generally recommend replacing PDPs with SMART Personal Development Objectives, which are reviewed and updated on a continuous basis.
Put someone up to a challenge. Competition is one of the best ways to grow. Set a challenge (weight loss, exercise, financial challenge, etc) and compete with an interested friend to see who achieves the target first. Through the process, both of you will gain more than if you were to set off on the target alone.
You know your weaknesses, and you’re ready to accept them. After all, nobody is perfect, and there is no need to blame yourself for who you are. Self-acceptance helps you value yourself even though you can criticize yourself.
I would argue that self-help tourists are using self-improvement advice in a healthy manner and that self-help junkies are (often, but not always) using it in an unhealthy manner. Remember, the paradoxical point of all self-improvement is to reach a point where you no longer feel you need to improve yourself. Therefore, the constant indulgence in self-improvement material just continues to feed that feeling of inadequacy.

“The difference between me and a lot of condescending bozos out there is that I don’t give a Fig Newton whether anyone chooses to do it the same, differently, or wearing a gold lamé unitard,” Knight writes. In other words, she is not advocating that all of us quit our day jobs and “step off the motherfucking ledge,” as she did. Still, it comes as something of a shock to realize that the person who has been advising us to push against the lean-in mores of contemporary office culture leaned so far out that she escaped altogether. Many readers will undoubtedly find this inspiring. Others may feel betrayed. What about those who can’t afford to take the risk of stepping away from their lives, as much as they may want to? While they are stuck in their cubicles, mentally redecorating and meditating on death, Knight is sipping piña coladas and writing her next best-selling “No F*cks Given” guide.
In addition, school leaders may encounter a variety of challenges when selecting and providing professional development opportunities. For example, one common obstacle is finding adequate time during the school day for teachers to participate in professional development. Securing sufficient funding is another common complication, particularly during times when school budgets are tight or being cut. The amount of funding allocated for professional development by states, districts, and schools may also vary widely—some schools could have access to more professional-development funding than they can reasonably use in a given year, while other schools and teachers may be expected to fund most or all of their professional development on their own. Other common challenges include insufficient support for professional development from the administrative leadership, a lack of faculty interest or motivation, or overburdened teacher workloads.
Personal growth is the ongoing process of understanding and developing oneself in order to achieve one’s fullest potential. Personal development is a vital part in a person’s growth, maturity, success and happiness. It is the foundation of emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual health.
The magic happens when we stop…when we stop reading, when we stop searching, when we stop trying to be a better, nicer, happier, calmer person and just allow the mind to express itself exactly as it is. Because underneath all the crazy thoughts and challenging feelings is that blue sky. And if we can set up a framework where that can be revealed safely, and with restraint, then thoughts and feelings can once again flow as they were meant to.
The book itself has very few words in it. It is simply a collection of illustrated poses – or asanas – with instructions, grouped into workouts tailored to specific requirements. Again, I find myself in a position to skip bits: yoga for women, for kids, for weight loss, for fasting, for binge-eating. I like the sound of “yoga for lazy people” and “yoga for hangovers”, but for the moment I am concentrating on yoga for beginners: eight poses, 10 minutes in all.
With personal development comes clarity. Even with an improved sense of direction, there will always be multiple tasks looking for your attention. As your personal development improves, prioritisation becomes much easier. You are clearer on your objectives and you can quickly identify which task will give you the best result with the resources available to you at that moment.
