In the past, I’ve discussed how it’s a good idea to spend your spare time dabbling in entrepreneurship: It fills your time with something that you choose (and thus you enjoy) and sets up a potential long-term revenue stream. I also discussed how I got a side business going myself.

You can start promoting your services online, but that is often hyper competitive. So I would particularly focus on offline marketing, such as networking through friends or at business events. That being said, creating your own product is an incredibly fulfilling experience. Several friends from service businesses told me from time to time how much they wish they were in a product business.
